New Remote Data Center
NjordIC announces the launch of the Remote Data Center (NjordIC RDC)—a UK-based, state-of-the-art processing hub jointly owned by NjordIC BV and Key Geophysics Ltd. The collaboration merges NjordIC’s industry-leading UXO consultancy expertise with Key Geophysics’ decades of geophysical processing experience, creating a high-performance center dedicated to rapid, reliable, and scalable UXO data processing for the global offshore market.
Central to the RDC is an innovative QA/QC engine known as “Keychain”. This system delivers near real-time validation of survey data, automated consistency checks, and rapid turnaround of critical deliverables. Keychain is paired with a proprietary target-selection algorithm that significantly streamlines the UXO identification workflow. Fast, reliable survey-data validation combined with accurate, discriminative target selection ensures UXO surveys are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with ALARP requirements.
Staffed by a team of geophysicists and UXO consultants, the RDC handles large magnetic, EM, SBI and acoustic datasets at scale. Providing real-time support to offshore and onshore teams, RDC offers pragmatic solutions for all marine construction projects.
John Bakker (NjordIC) comments:
“The establishment of the RDC marks a pivotal moment in modernising the manner in which our industry manages UXO data. It will eliminate the necessity of offshore-based personnel to an absolute minimum, thereby enhancing the health and safety footprint for our clients. The reduction in specialised personnel offshore will augment operational flexibility and cost efficiency. By synergistically combining advanced processing capabilities with senior UXO oversight, we establish a workflow where quality, speed, and safety mutually reinforce one another. This will significantly enhance the manner in which clients progress from survey to ALARP."
Sam Wyllie (Key Geophysics Ltd) adds:
“This collaborative partnership enables us to advance geophysical UXO analytics in unprecedented ways. By integrating QA/QC and proprietary processing procedures within a dedicated RDC, we have established a platform that is both efficient, scalable, and future-oriented for the upcoming generation of offshore projects.”
The establishment of the RDC signifies a pivotal moment in the strategic alliance between NjordIC and Key Geophysics, reinforcing their shared aspiration to provide transparent, innovative, and operationally robust UXO data services globally.
