UXO Project Management Baltic OWF

NjordIC served as UXO Project Director for a German clearance company during the successful release of the export cable route in the Baltic Sea. Our team combined operational expertise with rigorous data analysis to ensure a safe, transparent, and efficient UXO process from start to finish.

Through the NjordIC Remote Data Center (RDC), our data specialists assessed all geophysical survey data and developed a pragmatic and reliable understanding of the potential risks along the corridor. Throughout the entire identification phase, we provided on-site guidance and deployed UXO experts on board to support rapid, well-informed decision-making.

NjordIC also prepared all UXO project documentation, including the ALARP justification required for the formal release of the route. This established a secure foundation for upcoming cable installation activities in a region where historic munitions—primarily from both World Wars—remain a persistent challenge.

As an independent UXO Project Director, we ensured demonstrable risk reduction, clear decision pathways, and the safe release of the cable corridor—fully aligned with international standards and industry best practices.
